Painting gives me the freedom to express thoughts and emotions I would not otherwise be able to articulate. In my work I explore the line between the spoken and unspoken;  the conscious and unconscious.

I am interested in what lies beneath the surface. I don’t seek to explain, merely to explore…

Achievements

  • Artist assistant to Gilbert and George engaged to work on a number of large exhibitions, including a major retrospective at the Hayward Gallery.
  • Buyer/researcher for the Film and Advertising industry. Successes included involvement in the 1985 advertising campaign for Levi Jeans and in Julian Temple’s “Absolute Beginners”.
  • Instrumental in publishing the works of the late poet and artist David Robilliard.
  • Artist assistant to Andrew Heard. Exhibitions included Turske and Turske Galleries in Zurich and Paris, Friedmann Guiness Gallery Frankfurt and Connaught Brown Gallery, London.
  • Since 2004 has worked as a freelance artist, regularly exhibiting and undertaking  commissions.
